Hi, my name is Martin Briggs and I'm a professional drummer, percussionist and teacher from the UK. I have been teaching drums for over 20 years (alongside my playing career which includes the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, and the BBC Proms) in various schools and colleges, as well as teaching local and online students. During this time I have noticed that the concept of developing a solid sense of time/note placement (playing in the pocket) seems to be greatly overlooked in favour of grooves, chops & licks, so I have created Drum Pocket to help musicians develop their time and feel, because that is what makes those grooves, chops & licks sound sooooo much better!
